Maximum Insights is a
re-formation of a
previous, successful,
and highly respected
technology and business
consulting company, EFG
(The Executive Focus
Group). All the Maximum
Insights principals
worked together and were
key members at EFG.
EFG’s legacy, therefore,
represents our
capabilities and our
history of success. EFG
was founded in 1984 and
was acquired 2001 by
another technology
company. During those 17
years EFG grew in
revenue and staff (80
full time consultants)
to gain a very strong
reputation in the St.
Louis region. EFG served
companies in
distribution,
manufacturing, banking,
and services industries.
EFG's customers held
EFG's project
management, consultants,
delivery and support
capabilities, and
solutions in very high
regard. Many of these
clients continue to use
and get value from the
solutions that EFG
provided and
implemented.
EFG was one of only five
Microsoft “Managed
Partners” in the St.
Louis area. EFG earned
that elite status with a
proven track record of
successful projects,
ethical practices,
skilled people, and
technical competency and
certification. “Managed
Partner” status was by
Microsoft’s invitation
only. EFG was also a VAR
and implementer software
from Solomon, Epicor,
Great Plains, and
Pivotal publishers.
Pivotal regarded EFG as
one its best VARs
nationally and routinely
engaged EFG do the
implementations of
projects Pivotal sold
directly, that in
addition to EFG's local
deals.

Maximum Insights
Management Team
Bill Levin –
Principal
Bill Levin was President
and owner of The
Executive Focus Group.
Bill has over 35 years
of business and
technology consulting
experience and has
experience in most
industries. He sold and
managed numerous
application systems
development, packaged
software implementation
consulting projects
(Great Plains, Solomon,
Epicor, and Pivotal, as
well as custom
development projects),
and network consulting
engagements. Bill
created a system
development and
implementation
methodology that
resulted in on time and
on budget project
management.
He started, grew and
sold an information
technology consulting
business (EFG) with over
80 professional
consultants focused on
mid-size and small
businesses and an
information technology
staffing business with
over 130 consultants
focused on Fortune 1000
companies. He served on
several Microsoft
Partner Advisory
Councils. Bill is a
graduate of the
University of Missouri ‑
Columbia with a Bachelor
Science degree in
Accounting, a Bachelor
of Arts degree in
Economics, and a Masters
degree in Computer
Science/Electrical
Engineering.
Dave Langan –
Principal
Dave has 28 years of
sales, sales management,
operational, and
executive management
experience in
Information Technology
and providing solutions.
He had a highly
successful 16 year
career at IBM as a new
business representative,
as a Client Executive,
as a Regional Marketing
Coordinator, and
Regional Sales
Executive. After leaving
IBM, Dave was highly
successful as General
Manager of a large
national personal
computer integrator. At
EFG Dave was Vice
President and General
Manager and helped
achieve the results
described above. Dave
has served clients in
all industries. He has
had P&L responsibility
and understands the
needs of business
executives from their
point of view. Dave
holds a B.S. and M.S.
degree from Miami
University, Oxford,
Ohio.
John Mills –
Principal
John has over 15 years
of business experience
and has sold software
and business solutions
for 10 years. John is an
experienced sales
professional with an
impressive track record.
He has sold for Invensys
CRM (Previous Owner of
Baan) and was a top
sales performer for
three years at EFG. John
is a graduate of Central
Missouri State
University with a
Bachelor of Science
degree in Business with
an emphasis in Finance.
Terry Schaefer –
Principal
Terry has over 30 years
of experience in
consulting, accounting,
financial/business
management,
administration, and
computer
implementation/support.
His implementation
experience is broad
covering department
level processes to
implementing accounting
systems. Terry worked as
the Controller for four
different mid-sized
firms and has created
procedures and
documented processes for
rapidly growing
companies. He is
proficient in
QuickBooks, EasyACCT and
Great Plains accounting
software, as well as SAP
Business One. Terry’s
background includes a
variety of industries
including financial
services, technology,
retail operations and 20
years in professional
service firms. Terry has
a B.A. in Business
Administration (major in
accounting) from
Southern Illinois
University at
Edwardsville.
